Exploring the Fundamentals of Astrology, Simplified

Hey everyone!
Today, I'm here to share the basic concepts of Astrology with you in a simple way. We've already seen that a sign is an energy and that planets perform functions in our lives. For example, Saturn's function is to organize, structure, and show reality, while Venus's function is to express love and affection.
In this sense, each planet performs a function that can manifest in 12 different ways through the 12 zodiac signs. Additionally, in our Birth Chart, we have the Astrological Houses, which represent areas of life experience, such as work, family, spirituality, relationships, social life, and friendships.
The Coffee Analogy
To illustrate this idea, let's draw an analogy with an electricity company. Energy is distributed to our homes, where we have appliances with different functions, which would be the planets. If we think of a coffee maker whose function is "to make coffee," an espresso machine might represent an "Aries" coffee – quick and intense. On the other hand, a coffee maker with a cloth filter and a cozier process could be associated with a "Cancerian" or even a "Virgo" coffee, if it's artisanal and meticulous. This would be the analogy of having a planet in a sign.
The function "to make coffee" is the same for all coffee makers, but each has its style and will make coffee in a completely different way. A few years ago, I was able to prove this theory in a coffee shop in Porto Alegre, where they only worked with one type of bean, and the coffee was made in different coffee makers, generating a unique and differentiated flavor according to each one. One became more acidic, another sweeter, one fuller-bodied, another more aromatic—all depending on which coffee maker the coffee was made in. So, in our analogy, the function "to make coffee" could be done in 12 different ways, based on the 12 signs.
At the same time, we might have an area of life where we use that function more. For example, I can "make coffee" in the family area, or in the work area, or even in my social life with friends. Of course, we can "make coffee" in any area, but the one where we have the "make coffee" function will be the area with the greatest potential for learning and developing that function. This would be the analogy of having a planet in an astrological house.
Aspects and Connections
Furthermore, we often want to turn on the coffee maker along with the electric shower. If the wiring is good, different functions can be performed at the same time, like a washing machine and an electric shower running together without problems. However, if there are wiring problems, a "short circuit" can occur, the breaker can trip, and something might not work. In our analogy, this wiring that connects one function to another, one appliance to another, would be the aspects between planets. Aspects are the angles that planets form with each other.
To Sum It Up:
Planet – the function of making coffee
Sign – the coffee maker, a specific style of making coffee
Planet in an Astrological House – the area of life where we have the greatest potential to learn to make coffee
This is a simplified view of the fundamentals present in a birth chart. If you enjoyed learning a little more about astrology through these analogies, tell me in the comments. I'm curious to know what you thought!
