Hi everyone,
We're back with our beloved "Astro-speak"! Today, we're going to talk about astrological transits.
In a previous post, we talked about the birth chart (or natal chart), which is like a snapshot of the sky the moment we were born, revealing all our potential. It's a powerful tool for self-knowledge. However, the sky doesn't stand still; it continues its cycles. By relating the current sky to our birth chart, we can identify current tendencies.
When you read a daily or weekly horoscope, you're accessing collective trends that are valid for everyone. But by comparing the current sky to your birth chart, you can identify your unique trends. Here, the astrologer acts as a GPS, pointing out challenges and opportunities during specific periods. They offer tools to better navigate challenging times and make the most of favorable periods, helping you identify which projects to take off the back burner and which skills are more accessible throughout the cycle.
An interesting analogy I learn from my teacher, Claudia Lisboa, in a lecture is to compare transits to a storm. Imagine a city under a storm: it affects all the inhabitants, but each person's experience depends on where they are at that moment. If you're on the street during the storm, you might face flooding and other challenges. But if you're in a safe place, the storm may not have as much of a direct impact. Similarly, we have collective and individual trends, which show how each of us experiences global events.
I hope you enjoyed learning more about astrological transits. Leave a comment, because I'd love to hear your thoughts.
With love,
Kim Bins
